Countless worlds exist within the great expanse of the Cosmos. Most of which are dead and lifeless, except for a young world that lies at its heart. A world formed millions of years ago. It’s a world unlike any other, a world of unparalleled beauty. It’s named Quintessence.
Quintessence is the world where my novel series Archives of Quintessence takes place. It is a world of spectacular vista, with breathtaking mountains ranges, luscious forests, and crystal clear lakes adorning its landscape. It enjoys a cycle of long summer and short winter, an ideal environment for life to prosper.
Yet, Quintessence is far from being a sanctuary. Other than its erratic weathers and natural hazards, it has savage monsters roaming the deepest ocean to the tallest mountain, and range from minuscule to colossal in size. Remnants of distant wars are likewise a threat. Deadly chemicals and radioactive contaminations had caused irreversible damage to the environment, demonic automatons still lurk in the shadows waiting for the right moment to strike, and unimaginable evils continue to claw their way in through the portals left behind by the gods.
Despite the dangers, civilizations rise and thrived. They gained leaps of scientific advancements by reverse engineering forgotten technologies and gathering knowledge of old from ancient ruins. With the power of science, the people of Quintessence constructed war fleets and advanced armaments to defend themselves. Grand metropolis were built, some on land, some high in the sky, and some deep in the ocean. Cities became kingdoms, and kingdoms became nations. Over time, different races, beliefs, and cultures spread throughout Quintessence.
